Alliance had it's
official beginning on March 7, 2006. The original
members were Dustin Bearden, Nick Trammell, Bill
Thomas and Jeff Smith. In August of 06, Nick
Trammell left Alliance to pursue a full time career
with the Perry's from Morristown, Tennessee. Eric
St. Clair became our new lead singer, and performed
with Alliance on a part-time basis thru the end of
2008. Dustin Bearden left Alliance in March, 2008 to
join the new Florida Boys, and later would join the
Mark Blackwood Quartet. In the meantime, the
group did not sing publicly for about a year. During
this time, we resolved to reorganize the group into
one we could be proud of.
In March of 2009, our
fortunes took a dramatic turn for the better with
the return of Dustin at tenor. Three months later,
Mark Carlisle made the decision to join Alliance at
lead. Mark officially became a permanent member
of Alliance on September 19, 2009. The addition of
Dustin and Mark not only filled positions
with talented voices, but gave us the stability we
have hoped for since our beginning. Our new edition
of Alliance performed in public for the first time
on July 16, 2009. Alliance just finished
laying vocals for a new CD project at Studio 299 in
Cullman, engineered by Tommy Swindle. We hope to
release the new project by the end of 2009.
Alliance is made up of
members having over 70 years in collective
experience singing gospel music. Our members have
performed with several different groups during that
time. In addition to Dustin's tenure with the
Blackwoods and New Florida Boys, those
groups include Providence, Narrow Way, Image, The
Kings IV, New Ground, Unity, Assurance,
Compassion, Masters Messengers, Pure Heart, Harmony
Four, and The Regents.
Alliance sings a wide
variety of arrangements, most of it
traditional Southern Gospel. Our members all work
full-time jobs, and sing primarily on weekends. For
the most part, we book within a 100-mile radius of
Huntsville, but we can travel further if
circumstances permit. We would love to sing at your
church, homecoming, anniversary, family reunion, or
whatever the occasion. We are not limited
to singing in churches only. We welcome the
opportunity to sing in public venues, and to new
audiences, provided the setting
is appropriate for the music we perform.
If interested, please
contact Jimmy Hill @ 256-479-3551. If you are
visiting our website, please note our schedule of
upcoming appearances. We make every effort to post
our singings in a prompt manner and keep them
current. Also, we ask that you sign our guestbook
before leaving the site. Please feel free to share
any ideas, comments or questions about the group or
the website. We look forward to a great year in
2010, and hope to have the opportunity to meet many
new people. We ask for your support and prayers on
our behalf.
