Dustin started singing Christian music when
he was saved back in 2003 at the age of 19.
He has since been on a magnificent journey
of trying to grow a little closer to the
Lord every day. Dustin was influenced very
much by the singing of Gold City, and that
was the first CD of gospel music he ever
had. His 2 grandmothers
(Frances Bearden and Ann Smith) were |

the
first 2 people
in his
life he
 remembered
singing.
Whether it was sitting by Granny (Bearden) in church, or sitting on the end of
the piano bench at his Nana’s (Smith), he
just enjoyed good singing.
The dedication of these 2 ladies and
Dustin’s mother, father, and Aunt ( Keith
and Debbie Bearden, and Aunt Denise
Alverson) have helped make him what he is
today. He has shared the stage with
gospel music greats, as well as many known
local singers, and he has enjoyed it all.
Dustin was actually fired from his first
group he sang with, due to not having a well
developed enough voice at the time. In
December 2003, BT Thomas decided to take a
chance on what he saw as potential in
Dustin. BT has been a big help to
Dustin guiding him in improving his singing
and helping him become the singer he is
today.
Today, Dustin resides in the small town of
Geraldine, Alabama. He lives there
with his wife of 1 and ½ years Renee and
their little fat dog Prissy.
